I THINK I MADE IT

First came a whole lot of scams that took money from me. Three debit cards later, I’ve changed how I handle things: I plan to use PayPal when I can, and I keep my debit card locked until I need it. Then I lock it again.

My son started having vision problems. His eye doctor sent him to a neurosurgeon, and we were told his eyes were good and that he was experiencing silent migraines.

Then my car started running badly. My mechanic gave me a quote for $3,996. I sat in the car afterward, put the quote on the passenger seat, and looked at the clock.

I tried to get a loan and was denied. When I told my sister, she and her husband said, “Don’t do it.” Then she told me they were going to give me my late sister’s car. It’s newer, has only 48,000 miles, and it’s an automatic—no more shifting gears! ⚙️

I wondered what to do with my 2007 Toyota Yaris. After looking into selling a car with problems, I got an offer for $310. Two days later, another offer came in for $400. SOLD! 💰

Then a good-looking man messaged me on Facebook and laid it on thick. I sent his picture to a friend, who found signs that the profile was a scam. I blocked and reported him.

After that came a work-from-home offer by email. I started the application, but it couldn’t verify my selfies. I looked up the company and found terrible reviews, so I stopped there.

It has been one thing after another. And through all of it, I felt absolutely fine.

I don’t think I’ve ever felt this steady—or this heavenly—in my whole life. So much is happening, so quickly, and here I am. Still standing. Still moving forward. ❣️💕
