All of the sudden, she knew. Her heart knew. And just like that, a snap of fingers, she felt whole. Nothing was missing. Not even a fragment.
And she couldn’t really remember how: anger, sadness or jealousy felt. The distant memories were there like books she’d never read more then once.
In her mind, they appear as steps.
She then looked down at her legs. They were covered with bruises, scrapes and bandages.
Each injury, on her legs, was from trying to get out of one negative emotion or another for umpteen times.
But, slowly, yet surely she conquered each step and has now reached the top.
She looked down and the stairs were missing. They were replaced with grass, hills, trees and several different paths.
She then looked up and closed her eyes. She opened her eyes and started walking down the path she was drawn to.
She is absolutely certain she chose the right path.
